Compfit Personal Training

Eric designs a tailored fitness program for you based on your specific goals and needs. He uses a wide range of fitness tools including free weights, machines, body weight, balls, bands, balance boards—as well as other equipment and modalities—to help you reach your greatest potential.

Eric has more than three decades of experience in coaching, training and teaching in the areas of joint rehabilitation, body fat reduction, increasing lean tissue, improving core strength, enhancing cardiovascular endurance, boosting mental health, and refining nutrition.

He has worked with athletes, sedentary individuals and especially loves to work with people over 50, turning them on to the benefits of strength training, enhanced flexibility and improved balance. Another speciality is helping clients pre and post surgery achieve their best form (increased core strength).

Client testimonials;

I can’t imagine life without Eric Wilson!  I have been working with him for years and recently bumped my sessions up from once a week to twice.  He meets you where you are and then gently pushes!  For example, when I first came in I said I wanted to work my lower body, but not my upper.  Well, that lasted for about two weeks and then he eased me into working on the upper body and now I do that regularly.  Another year, I said I guessed I couldn’t do squats any longer (I’m about to be 74 and just thought the art of squats was lost to me).  Now, I do squats – just a few, but I do them.  Finally, I got my husband going with Eric and now both of us are committed to his knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate approach to physical fitness.  You could not find a better instructor anywhere!     – Susan Harmon

Eric is a phenomenal trainer who is in touch with both the muscular and spiritual aspects of my health.  He listens very carefully to my body and works me based on my goals and needs at the time.  He watches the way my body moves in order to help him to modify my program.  I have never felt this comfortable with a trainer before.  I have lost over ten pounds in the past month.     – Ron Spruill

A year ago I could easily say I’m a lazy bum who never had a consistent workout regimen in my life. I’m still a lazy bum but I decided to do something about it (middle age fears) and in May 2018 I signed up for twice a week workout sessions with Eric. The shocker is that I’ve kept it up for all this time.

Eric is very well attuned to making workouts sustainable, that is making sure you’re not injuring yourself or pushing yourself so hard you don’t want to come back. This has been of the best health decisions and investments I could’ve made, hopefully it will last for a lifetime.      – Laura T
